<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a repeating device capable of dynamically changing an interleave period according to the quality of a transmission path via which real time data is to be transmitted. <P>SOLUTION: The repeating device comprises: a reception part which receives, as real-time data, video stream data including plural reference pictures and plural non-reference pictures; a monitoring part which periodically detects the quality of a transmission path which should transmit the real-time data toward a destination; a determination part which determines the length of an interleave period according to the quality of the transmission path; an interleaving part which when interleaving the real-time data with the determined interleave period, performs interleaving of the reference pictures and that of the non-reference pictures within the determined interleave period; and a transmission part which transmits the interleaved real-time data to the transmission path. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
