<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle controller that starts a crash safety device at an appropriate timing while reducing cost. <P>SOLUTION: The vehicle controller for controlling a vehicle to reduce a risk of crash between a vehicle and an object includes: an object detection unit for detecting the object; a crash determination unit for determining whether or not the risk of the crash between the object and the vehicle is high; a crash safety device control unit for actuating a crash safety device for reducing the risk of the crash when the risk of the crash is determined to be high by the crash determination unit; a pitch angle change amount calculation unit for calculating a temporal change amount of the pitch angle of the body of the vehicle as a pitch angle change amount; and an operation suppressing unit for suppressing or stopping the operation of the crash safety device based on the pitch angle change amount. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
