<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reinforcing method and reinforcing apparatus for reinforcing existent covering of which the cross section is circular from the inside, in which any reinforcing unit that may become a utilization obstacle is not existent inside the reinforced covering, the deformation of the existent covering can be mitigated by extruding the existent covering to the outside by imparting power effectively from the inside to the existent covering, and the existent covering can be reinforced effectively by imparting an extrusion force through the existent covering to the natural ground. <P>SOLUTION: A reinforcing method of existent covering includes the step of disposing a plurality of arcuate blocks 1 at intervals in a circumferential direction of an inner face of existent covering F of which the cross section is circular, and arranging jacks 3 within the intervals, the step of imparting an axial force in the circumferential direction to the arcuate blocks 1 while expanding the jacks 3 and widening the intervals, and the step of arranging within the intervals interval holders each holding the widened interval, removing the jacks 3, receiving jack reaction forces in the interval holders substitutively, and forming a reinforced ring comprising the plurality of arcuate blocks 1 disposed in the circumferential direction and the plurality of interval holders. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
