<p>A gasket (10) sandwiched between opposing flange bonding surfaces (3) by a bolt (7); the gasket being a combination of a composite member (1) having rubber formed on one or both sides of a steel plate and having a convex or wave-shaped bead (15), a through-hole (5) through which a shaft (72) of the bolt (7) passes, and an annular metal plate (2) having a bearing-surface corresponding part (21) that corresponds to a bearing surface (71) of the bolt (7) on the periphery of the through-hole (5); and the thickness (H3) of the bead of the composite member being greater than the thickness (H2) of the annular metal plate, which is equal to or greater than the thickness (H1) of the composite member. It is thereby possible to provide a gasket that exhibits satisfactory sealing performance in a tightened situation wherein the flange is less rigid, the tightening load decreases, and the distance to the bolt increases.</p> |
