<p>A method of treating a portion of a subterranean formation through the use of an aqueous fracturing fluid comprising dissolved therein from 0.3 to 3.0% by weight of a viscosifying agent, wherein the viscosifying agent consists of fast dissolving and easy dispersible glyoxalated, ground guar splits containing from 0.01 to 0.05% by weight of glyoxal.</p>
