<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrode for electrolytically synthesizing a fluorine compound, which allows stable electrolysis by suppressing formation of a graphite fluoride layer on the surface of the electrode, thereby preventing decrease in the effective electrolysis area of the electrode. <P>SOLUTION: The electrolytic electrode for synthesizing the fluorine compound by use of a molten-salt electrolytic bath containing hydrogen fluoride includes: an electrode substrate, at least the surface of which is composed of a conductive carbon material; a conductive diamond layer which covers part of the surface of the electrode substrate; and a metal-fluoride-containing film which covers an exposed portion of the electrode substrate, which is not covered by the conductive diamond layer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
