<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a liquid crystal display element having a wide viewing angle, a fast response speed of liquid crystal molecules, excellent display characteristics and long-term reliability. <P>SOLUTION: There is provided a method for manufacturing a liquid crystal display element, which comprises: a step of applying composition containing (A) at least one polymer selected from the group consisting of a polyamide, a polyvinyl alcohol derivative and a poly(meth)acrylate and (B) a polymer composition containing a polymerizable unsaturated compound to form a coating film on conductive films of a pair of substrates having the conductive films; a step of forming a liquid crystal cell by arranging oppositely the pair of substrates on which the coating films are formed so that the coating films oppose each other through a layer of liquid crystal molecules; and a step of irradiating light to the liquid crystal cell in a state that a voltage is applied between the conductive films having the pair of substrates. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
