发明名称 HONEYCOMB STRUCTURE
摘要
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a honeycomb structure, the isostatic fracture strength of which is improved and the thermal shock resistance of which is lowered and on which, particularly, a catalyst can be applied uniformly to obtain a catalyst-deposited honeycomb structure and which enables the usage amount of the catalyst to be reduced and consequently the production cost thereof to be reduced.
SOLUTION: The honeycomb structure 1 has: porous partition walls 13 for dividing/forming a plurality of cells 3 both end faces of each of which are communicated with each other; and an outer circumferential wall 19 formed integrally with the partition walls 13. The cells 3 comprise complete cells 5 each having a hexagonal complete cell cross section and partial cells 7 each having a hexagon-unformed incomplete cell cross section. The honeycomb structure satisfies at least one of the following relationships (1) to (4). The relationship (1) is that the partition wall of the partial cell, whose wall is in contact with the outer circumferential wall, is formed to have the thickness larger than those of other partition walls. The relationship (2) is that the partition wall of the partial cell, whose wall is in contact with the outer circumferential wall, is formed to have the thickness larger than those of other partition walls constituting the partial cells and the thickness becomes larger gradually as it goes to the outer circumferential wall. The relationship (3) is that an intersection point part between the partition wall of the partial cell and that of the complete cell is formed at the starting point of the partition wall, which extends to the outer circumferential wall of the partial cell and has the length shorter than that of the partition wall of the complete cell, is regarded as an incomplete intersection point and is formed in an R shape. The relationship (4) is that another intersection point between the outer circumferential wall and the partition wall of the partial cell is regarded as an outermost intersection part and is formed in the R shape.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
