<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for simply and accurately measuring or adjusting the resolution of a camera comprising an imaging element; and an image inspection method and device using the method. <P>SOLUTION: A solution includes provision of an automatic camera-resolution measurement method, and an automatic camera-resolution adjustment method, an image inspection method and an image inspection device using the automatic camera-resolution measurement method including steps of: photographing with a camera an object having a cyclical pattern; acquiring a self-correlation coefficient between image data V<SB POS="POST">0</SB>and image data Vn produced by shifting the image data V<SB POS="POST">0</SB>by one pixel in a direction of acquiring resolution; and detecting a peak of the self-correlation coefficient and acquiring resolution of the camera based on the difference of the number of shifted pixels between the detected two peaks, the number of peak-to-peak areas and the cycle of pattern. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
