The compressor (5) has a working chamber provided with an inner casing wall, an inlet and an outlet. A piston, particularly reciprocating piston, is axially adjusted for changing the volume of the working chamber. An outer casing wall forms a tribological system during the operation of the compressor with the inner casing wall of the working chamber. The outer casing wall of the reciprocating piston has a structure, which is formed to prevent demolishing of a lubricant film between the inner casing wall of the working chamber and the outer casing wall of the reciprocating piston.
