摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve transmission quality by reducing crosstalk. <P>SOLUTION: A wavelength selection switch includes a wavelength dispersive element, a wavelength condensing element, multiple transmission control elements and a control part. The wavelength dispersive element disperses a wavelength of input signal light. The transmission control element transmits or blocks the input signal light by dividing it according to a wavelength band within a channel bandwidth. The wavelength condensing element condenses and outputs signal light of each wavelength, which is output from the transmission control element. The control part controls a transmittance of the transmission control element at least on one side of a low frequency side and a high frequency side in the channel bandwidth. Moreover, the control part controls crosstalk through: a step for setting at least one of a predetermined bandwidth on the low frequency side and a predetermined bandwidth on the high frequency side as a blocked area; a step for narrowing a transmission bandwidth of the input signal light for which the wavelength is to be multiplexed; a step for deleting a bandwidth part where a light spectrum overlaps; and a step for outputting transmitted signal light. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
