<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress elution of a cathode in a metal electrowinning method. <P>SOLUTION: The metal electrowinning method includes the steps of: electrodepositing metal components contained in the electrolyte on the cathode; and causing short circuit between the cathode and an anode.
