<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluidized-bed type biological treatment method, which can flow a carrier efficiently to treat stably without deteriorating water quality at a start-up of an apparatus and also at a low load treatment. <P>SOLUTION: A fluidized-bed type biological treatment apparatus 1 comprises a tank body 2, a driving shaft 3 arranged in the tank body 2, and a rotary blade 4 fixed to the driving shaft 3. When the nitrogen load is high, water to be treated is supplied to the upper part of the tank body 2, and when the nitrogen load is low, at least a part of the water to be treated is supplied to the lower part of the tank body 2.
