<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image transfer device which flexibly converts resolution of an image depending on resolution of a monitor on which the image is to be displayed when transferring the image to another device and storing a minified image of the transferred image. <P>SOLUTION: An image transfer device comprises a storage part storing an image file including first image data and model information representing a model of an image creation device creating the first image data. The image transfer device acquires the model information from the image file to determine display resolution corresponding to the model information with reference to a resolution table. After determining the display resolution, the image transfer device converts the first image data having resolution at the time of taking pictures depending on the determined display resolution to create second image data, and stores the second image data in the storage part.
