System and method for optical coherence tomography

The method involves producing images (60,61) in the regions of planes of an object, where the planes are different. The images in regions of planes are received in real time. The primary image or secondary image is displayed as a real-time image in response control command given by an operator and is simultaneously displayed on display device (52) as still picture. An independent claim is included for system for optical coherence tomography.
