The drive system has a planetary gear set (11,12) with a ring gear, multiple planet gears, a planetary carrier and a sun gear. A gear unit (1) and a gear housing (15) are surrounded with a motor or a generator unit (2), where the motor or a generator unit is connected with a shaft of the gear unit. An outer bearing element of a bearing assembly (161) is connected with a hollow cylindrical extension.
