LENTICULAR UNIT FOR 2 DIMENSION/3 DIMENSION AUTOSTEREOSCOPIC DISPLAY

PURPOSE: A lenticular apparatus for a 2D and 3D non-glasses type display is provided to simplify manufacturing process by using an electro-active polymer material as a lenticular sheet instead of cylindrical lenses. CONSTITUTION: First electrodes(54,56) are transparent and formed on a substrate. A second electrode(62) is transparent and retractile. A material layer(60) is located between the first electrodes and the second electrode. The material layer can change to a lens shape by applying an electric potential between the first electrodes and the second electrode. The material layer is a layer of material which is selected among electro-active polymer materials having a piezoelectric effect.
