PURPOSE: A material entry sensing device is provided to accurately sense the entry of a material by removing vapor remaining between a sensing unit and the material using a spray of fluid. CONSTITUTION: A material entry sensing device comprises a rolling unit(10,60) rolling a material, a feed roller unit(20) which is arranged in the rear of the rolling unit and transfers the material discharged from the rolling unit, a sensing unit(30) which is arranged above the feed roller unit and senses the entry of the material, a fluid spray unit(40) which is arranged above the feed roller unit and sprays fluid to the upper side of the sensing unit, and a vapor suction unit(50) which is mounted on the feed roller unit and draws in the vapor from the material.
