<p>A steering lock apparatus in which inner portions of a housing 10 and a housing cover 11 are provided with a lock bolt 12 which is movable between a lock position at which the lock bolt 12 is engaged with a steering shaft, and an unlock position at which the engagement is released, an auxiliary lock member 27 which is energized by an energizing force of an energizing member from a non-engaged position at which the auxiliary lock member 27 does not engage with the lock bolt 12 at the lock position toward an engaged position at which the auxiliary lock member 27 engages with the lock bolt 12, and a stopper member 43 which engages with the auxiliary lock member 27 so as to hold the auxiliary lock member 27 at the non-engaged position. The stopper member 43 is arranged so as to be movable between an inhibition position at which the stopper member 43 engages with the auxiliary lock member 27 and a release position at which the engagement is released. A hold member 47 which engages with the stopper member 43 so as to hold the stopper member 43 at the inhibition position is provided. The hold member 47 is detachably installed to an inner face of the housing or the housing cover. The hold member 47 may be installed on a spring which also energizes the lock bolt 12 in the steering shaft direction.</p> |
