A direct current electric arc furnace comprises a base on which a steel case is installed, its lining forms the melting tank of the furnace with two electrodes placed there, those are equipped with electrode holders, a lined roof placed on the case, this is equipped with mechanisms of lift and turn, and mechanism for inclination of the furnace. The electrodes are arranged as dome-shaped ones and are equipped with displacement mechanisms. The case has a form of straight circular cylinder and is placed on an additional platform the bottom of which is arranged so that to provide the inclination of the furnace. |
