PURPOSE: A transfer device for a heating furnace and a control method thereof are provided to easily transfer a work piece by friction increased as the load of the work piece is concentrated in a narrow area. CONSTITUTION: A transfer device for a heating furnace comprises feed rollers(30) moving a work piece(100), a lifting unit(70) moving the feed rollers up or down, a slip detecting sensor detecting the work piece passing through the area of the feed rollers, and a control unit which determines a signal transmitted from the slip detecting sensor and transmits a raise signal to the lifting unit when the work piece stay in the area over a predetermined time. |
