PURPOSE: A novel adrenomeduline expression gene and a method for producing adrenomeduline using the same are provided to treat vascular diseases. CONSTITUTION: An adrenomeduline expression gene comprises intron 3 inserted between exon 3 and exon 4 of adrenomeduline gene. The adrenomeduline expression gene has a base sequence of sequence number 9. An expression vector containing adrenomeduline expression gene is pcDNA3.1(+)AM Int3 vector. A method for producing adrenomeduline comprises a step of culturing a transformant prepared by the expression vector and a step of collecting adrenomedulin from the transformant. A composition for preventing or treating vascular diseases contains the expression vector or transformant.
