The knee joint endoprosthesis system (12) comprises a tibial component (14) which is rotatably storable in a meniscus portion (18) which is arranged cooperating with a femur portion (22) to form a knee joint endoprosthesis (10). A rotation limiting element is arranged for limiting the rotational movement of the meniscus portion relative to the tibial component and is releasably connected to the tibial component and/or the meniscus portion. The rotation limiting element consists of a stopper having two stopper portions which are arranged in the mutually opposite directions of rotation.
