A method for diagnosing anemia in systemic lupus erythematosus comprises the general biochemical and immunological blood tests, urinalysis, faeces, ultrasonography of the internal organs, determining the concentration of iron and ferritin levels in serum and iron content in the bone marrow aspirate. In the absence of iron in the bone marrow iron deficiency anemia is diagnosed. |
