PURPOSE: A device for inspecting a display panel and a method thereof are provided to automatically inspect whether foreign materials are attached to the display panel. CONSTITUTION: An image obtaining unit(4) is installed in an inspection area. The inspection area is located between a first waiting area and a second waiting area. The image obtaining unit obtains an inspection image for a display panel. The display panel passes through the inspection area. A lighting unit(23) provides light to the display panel to obtain an inspection image for the display panel.
