PURPOSE: A battery system and an energy storage system comprising the same are provided to able to provide life time of a battery module. CONSTITUTION: A battery system comprises at least one battery module capable of being charged and discharged, and a battery management part controlling charging and discharging of the battery module. The battery management part changes a charging threshold stopping charging of the battery module and a discharging threshold stopping discharging of the battery module. The battery management part makes a width between the charging threshold and the discharging threshold become wider as time passed.
