WELD STRUCTURE AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A welded structure and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to effectively block the straight propagation of brittle crack by using a high-toughness material and to improve the fatigue strength of a plate by reinforcing the stress-concentrated portion of a through hole. CONSTITUTION: A welded structure comprises a plate(10) and a brittle crack propagation blocking unit(30). The plate is formed by butt welding unit plates(10a). The brittle crack propagation blocking unit blocks the propagation of brittle crack by passing through one or more points of a butt weld zone(20) of the plate.
