PURPOSE: A knife gate valve is provided to reduce frictional force with a packing by spraying lubricating oil to both sides of the knife gate valve and to check the amount of residual lubricating oil by transparently forming a lubricating oil storage tank. CONSTITUTION: A knife gate valve comprises a packing(10), a body(20), a storage space(23), an elevating unit(31), and a reinforcing strip(40). The reinforcing strip is embedded inside the packing. A passage(21) is formed in the body. The packing for preventing corrosion is fitted in the passage and is separately installed to be contacted each other in a state of facing the body. A storage space(23) is formed at the top of the body and lubricating oil is stored in the storage space. A knife gate(30) is ascended and descended in the upper part of the body by the elevating unit.
