The device has an inner container, and a cooling goods-storage (6) formed in a cooling area (1) of the device for storing cooling goods (18), where the storage is extended over an adjusting depth (e-1) in an insertion direction (y). A rear wall (5) of the container is thermally connected with an evaporator (11) of a cooling circuit. An adjusting unit (21) i.e. distance piece, adjusts a rear section i.e. stop bar, of the storage for varying the adjusting depth. A free passage gap (17) is defined between the rear section and a rear wall of the device, and the adjusting unit has a guiding link.
