PURPOSE: A light emitting diode street lamp driven by sunlight generation is provided to light a street lamp by installing an illumination sensor sensing the quantity of light around the street lamp. CONSTITUTION: A sunlight collecting unit(100) includes a sunlight collecting plate having a solar cell and a tracker. The sunlight collecting unit includes the tracker in order to form the sunlight collecting plate to be vertical to sunlight according to the altitude of the sun. A power supply unit(200) includes a battery which stores generated power and an external power supply which supplies power in an insufficient state of the power stored in the battery by collecting the sunlight in the sunlight collecting unit. A light emitting unit(300) is turned on by a power source of the battery or the external power supply. A control unit(400) controls the external power supply according to a remaining amount of the battery. A sensor unit(500) senses an external state.
