PURPOSE: An electric soldering iron is provided to easily replace a tip by integrating the tip in a protective pipe and employing an improved structure of fastening unit and to easily discharge heat generated during work. CONSTITUTION: An electric soldering iron comprises a handle, a fastening unit(120) formed on the leading end of the handle and connected to the hollow inside of the handle, a heat generating unit with the rear end electrically connected to a circuit board and the leading end made of a heat emitting body extended to the outside of the handle, and a protective pipe(140) coupled to the exterior of the heat emitting body, with the rear end fixed by compression of a nut part and the leading end integrally formed with a tip. When replacing the tip, the protective pipe and the tip are simultaneously separated from or coupled to the fastening unit by the rotation of the nut part.
