PURPOSE: A resolution converting device is provided to change resolution by changing a program of an FPGA even though a desired scaling down ratio changes high. CONSTITUTION: A resolution converting device includes memories(33a,33b) and an FPGA(Field Programmable Gate Array)(32). The memory temporarily stores image data of high resolution. The FPGA outputs representative data in each section corresponding to low resolution among the image data of high resolution while controlling the memory.
