Said method is characterized in that the method includes the processing steps according to which, for each searched pixel (Pi, j), the processing unit (10): compares (E3) the measured color strength (lc, i, j) with at least one threshold (spc, ?k(Pi, j)), each threshold (spc, ?k(Pi, j)) having a different value for each pixel (Pi, j) belonging to a single geometric area (?k) of the image (1); attributes (E4), on the basis of said comparison (E3), a modified color strength (lc, i, j) to said pixel (Pi, j); determines (E5) an error (ec, i, j) corresponding to the difference between the measured color strength (lc, i, j) and the modified color strength (lc, i, j); and adds (E6) a fraction of said error (ec, i, j) to the color strength (lc, i, j) of at least one pixel that is adjacent to the searched pixel (Pi, j).
