A method for the prediction of cardiovascular complications in patients with coronary heart disease of advanced and old ages through carrying out blood analysis and determination of prognostic marker. One carries out immunoenzymatic assay with determination of concentration of protein CD40L, and if concentration is higher than 2 ng/ml high risk of development of cardio-vascular complications is predicted.
