PURPOSE: A 3D image display device and an operating method thereof are provided to make black stripes without increasing an operation frequency of a gate operating unit in a 3D mode. CONSTITUTION: A display panel includes a data line, a gate line, a black stripe control line(CL), and sub pixels. Each sub pixel includes a first pixel(P1) and a second pixel(P2). The first pixel displays image data in a 2D mode and a 3D mode. The second pixel displays a black gradation in the 3D mode. A timing controller(140) includes a black stripe control signal supply unit(141). |
