<p>PURPOSE: A secondary battery is provided to reduce production cost and processes and to reduce weight and volume by reducing a number of parts, and to prevent short circuit due to inflow of external moisture into a short element. CONSTITUTION: A secondary battery(100) comprises: an electrode assembly(110); current collecting plates(120,140) electrically connected to the electrode assembly, and having a short hole; a short element(130) comprising a short plate(131), installed in the short hole; and a cap assembly(160) comprising a cap plate sealing the opening of the case. The short plate faces the cap plate. The short plate and the cap plate formed of conductive material, and have different polarities each other.</p> |
