PURPOSE: A backlight unit, a manufacturing method thereof, and a display device with the backlight unit are provided to diffuse light which is irradiated from light sources to a light guide plate. CONSTITUTION: A light guide plate(310) guides light. The light guide plate includes at least one light incident surface. A plurality of light sources(320) irradiate the light onto the light incident surface. An optical member(330) has at least one sheet. The sheet is arranged in a direction in which the light is emitted from the light guide plate. The sheet controls light emitted from the light guide plate.
