PURPOSE: A backlash measuring device is provided to measure a backlash with reliability and precision and to prevent the generation of the backlash caused by geometric tolerance. CONSTITUTION: A backlash measuring device comprises a stage(201), a shaft rotating unit(210), and a first measuring unit. The shaft rotating unit is arranged on the stage and comprises a first driving shaft, a first lower magnet gear, a first upper magnet gear, and a second driving shaft. A driving motor is mounted in one end of the first driving shaft and the first lower magnet gear is mounted in one side of the first driving shaft. The first upper magnet gear is arranged on the upper part of the first lower magnet gear and rotates toward a direction perpendicular to a rotary direction of the first lower magnet gear. The first upper magnet gear is mounted in one end part of the second driving shaft. The second driving shaft comprises an encoder being mounted in the other end part of the second driving shaft and calculates a backlash through a rotation angle displacement of the first and second driving shafts.
