PURPOSE: A monitoring device and control method for the proportional control of air gas in a gas boiler are provided to prevent the waste of gas by indicating the default state of a micro computer when an excessive driving current flows. CONSTITUTION: A monitoring device for the proportional control of air gas in a gas boiler comprises an over current detection unit(60). The over current detection unit inputs voltage in a micro computer(10) according to a driving current, and detects the default of the driving current. The over current detection unit comprises resistances and a capacitor(C21). The resistances connect a sub input terminal and an input terminal of the micro computer in series.
