FIELD: process engineering. ^ SUBSTANCE: proposed plug comprises working section and detachable tip made up of hollow case aligned with working section by cylindrical collar, retained by flats arranged on plug working section and arranged inside rod case, and clamp bush fitted on rod. Reliability of attachment of said detachable tip and plug working section in rolling large-diameter tubes is ensured by providing hollow case rear end square outer surface with groove slots and ring flexible bushes arranged thereon and retained by clamp bush. One end of said rod is connected with plug working section by threaded joint while rod section opposite the hollow case rear end features hexagonal shape and is provided with key fitted in one of said groove slots. Lubrication removal holes are made in said ring flexible bushes and case. Clamp bush is secured on rod by nut and cotter pin arranged on rod threaded free end. ^ EFFECT: higher quality of rolled tubes. ^ 3 dwg
