PURPOSE: A pre-distortion apparatus and method for linearizing a power amplifier in a mimo transmitter with crosstalk between signals in a transmission path are provided to obtain linear characteristics of power amplifiers by compensating for the nonlinear characteristics of the power amplifiers. CONSTITUTION: The M number of power amplification nonlinear compensators(100) compensate for nonlinear characteristics of the M number of power amplifiers. An MxM matrix input terminal crosstalk compensator(200) compensate for cross talk existing in the M number of power amplifier input terminals. A MxM matrix output terminal crosstalk compensator(300) compensates for the cross talk existing in the M number of power amplifier output terminals. An adaption counter(400) extracts coefficients of the power amplification nonlinear compensator, the input terminal crosstalk compensator, and the output terminal crosstalk compensator to compensate for the input and output cross talk and nonlinear characteristic of a power amplifier.
