PURPOSE: An apparatus and method for transmitting and receiving uplink synchronization information in a wireless communication system are provided to effectively set uplink synchronization in a plurality of element carrier wave group environments. CONSTITUTION: A reception unit(1410) receives timing correction information of a first cell from a base station. A timing control unit(1430) computes the timing compensation information of a second cell based on the received timing compensation information of the first cell. A transmission unit(1420) transmits a reference signal using the computed timing compensation information of the second cell. The reception unit receives offset information from the base station in order to control the error of the timing compensation information. The timing control unit sets the uplink timing compensation information of the second cell using the received offset information.
