The assembly comprises a lower elongate member 10 engageable on the floor and an upper elongate member 12 engageable against a ceiling. The elongate members have board supporting formations 28, 44 to receive the respective ends of a board 14. A plurality of bracing members of adjustable length 16 are extendable between the lower 10 and upper 12 elongate members to urge the lower elongate member against the floor and the upper elongate member 12 against the ceiling. The elongate members may also include a bracing member engaging formation 34 which is preferably an open channel which has an opening of reduced width relative to the remainder of the channel. The bracing members may be telescopic and may have an adjustment and locking mechanism. The assembly may have an elongate connecting member 60 for connecting boards 14 together. The elongate members may be provided with an anti-slip member or formation.
