<p>PURPOSE: A circuit for a DC energy storage device is provided to operate in one or more different modes including a self-supporting mode, an island mode, and a normal mode by using an auxiliary device. CONSTITUTION: A DC energy storage device(2) has an auxiliary device and a DC terminal. An AC/DC power converter(4) includes a plurality of semiconductor power switching devices. The AC/DC power converter has an AC terminal and the DC terminal which are electrically connected to an AC supply network. A DC/DC power converter(14) includes the plurality of semiconductor power switching devices. The DC/DC power converter has a first DC terminal electrically connected to the DC terminal of the AC/DC power converter and a second DC terminal electrically connected to the DC terminal of the DC energy storage device. A first control device is provided for the AC/DC power converter. A second control device is provided for the DC/DC power converter.</p> |
