PURPOSE: A device for monitoring defects of an outer wall of a building is provided to monitor a condition of an outer wall of a building based on images transmitted from a device while moving the device up and down and left and right sides in indoors, thereby obtaining the safety of an operator and rapidly and precisely inspecting the outer wall. CONSTITUTION: A device for monitoring defects of an outer wall of a building comprises a lifting wire(100), a ladder(200), a horizontal transferring unit(300), a photographing unit(400), a controlling unit, and a monitoring unit. One side of the lifting wire is fixed to the top of a building and the other side of the lifting wire is drooped in the lower part of the building toward a vertical direction. The ladder moves up and down along the lifting wire according to a rotating direction of a motor and horizontally installed in an outer wall of the building. The horizontal transferring unit is composed of a transferring rail being fixed to the ladder in a longitudinal direction and a transferring member driving to left and right sides along the transferring rail. The photographing unit is connected to the transferring member of the horizontal transferring unit, thereby obtaining images of the outer wall of the building while transferring in a horizontal direction. The controlling unit controls the operation of the ladder, horizontal transferring unit, and photographing unit. The monitoring unit receives the images of the outer wall of the building obtained by the photographing unit, thereby outputting the same.
