PURPOSE: A salt refining apparatus, and a salt refining method using thereof are provided to easily remove impurities contained in conventional salt or bay salt. CONSTITUTION: A salt refining apparatus comprises the following: a first container for dissolving salt, including a salt water discharging unit located on the predetermined height from the bottom of the container; a filtering unit(12) filtering water-insoluble impurities from salt water discharged from the first container; a second container crystallizing the filtered salt water, and removing water-soluble impurities from the salt water; heaters(50, 60) heating the second container; and a third container drying the crystallized salt. The salt water discharging unit includes a valve for naturally draining the salt water from the first container. The salt refining apparatus additionally includes hoods(70) for partially covering the containers.
