PURPOSE: An exhaust gas purifying device is provided to reduce the concentration of methane and hydrocarbon in exhaust gas. CONSTITUTION: An exhaust gas purifying device(1000) comprises a discharge pipe(100), a selective reduction catalyst(200), and a hydrocarbon trap(300). The exhaust gas discharged from an engine passes through the discharge pipe. The selective reduction catalyst is placed in the discharge pipe. The hydrocarbon trap is placed between the engine and the selective reduction catalyst. The engine is operated with a spark ignition method that gas fuel with compressed natural gas is supplied.
