INTEGRATED DENSE WAVELENGTH DIVISION MULTIPLEXING NODE MODULE

PURPOSE: An integrated wavelength division multiplexing node module is provided to simultaneously form different connecting points through direct connection between an array shaped chip level device and an integrated chip or a chip. CONSTITUTION: A temperature independent arrayed waveguide grating device(102) is used as a wavelength multiplexer. A temperature independent arrayed waveguide grating device(103) is used as a wavelength demultiplexer. A tap coupler array(104) divides a part of outputs from an output unit of the wavelength demultiplexer. A light detector array(105) monitors the intensity of a tap coupler from the output of the tap coupler array. An electrical circuit board processes an electric signal from a light detector using the installed light detector array. The wavelength multiplexer and the wavelength demultiplexer are composed of independent arrayed waveguide grating device chips having each substrate.
