PURPOSE: A password setting method which uses a pattern is provided to variably control the number of password combination according to the size of a go board. CONSTITUTION: A size of a go board is selected(S1). A location indexing value is given to each point of the selected go board. A state indexing value is given to an empty space, a white stone, and a black stone. A pattern is inputted on the go board(S3). A pattern vale about the inputted pattern is generated based on the location indexing value and the state indexing value(S5). The generated pattern value is stored in a storing space of an information terminal(S6,S7).
