PURPOSE: A voltage regulator is provided to achieve fast transient response by preventing the abnormal flow of current consumption in operation. CONSTITUTION: A resistor(105,106) outputs a divided voltage by dividing an output voltage. A differential amplification circuit(102) control a gate voltage of a PMOS transistor(104) to stabilize the output voltage by comparing the divided voltage and an output voltage of a reference voltage circuit(101). A boost circuit(108) detects a current flowing through the PMOS transistor at a terminal(110) and outputs a signal from the terminal to the differential amplification circuit. An inverting input terminal of the differential amplification circuit is connected to the reference voltage circuit. A non-inverting input terminal of the differential amplification circuit is connected to the resistor. |
